Dr Shane Mulligan

Dr. Shane Mulligan is a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children and adolescents. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Shane has gained extensive experience in a range of hospital and community services through the Irish national health service and Irish national child and family agency.

Dr. Shane is committed to providing the highest standard of care to help clients overcome challenges. He utilises a client-centered and holistic approach that draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, compassion-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approaches.

Dr. Shane tailors his interventions to meet the unique needs of each client and believes in building on client strengths and resilience. This can sometimes involve collaborating with parents, caregivers and schools to help support the child or young person.

Passionate about advancing the field of clinical psychology and child well-being, Dr. Shane has published in national and international journals and has also presented research nationally and internationally.
