Dr. Marie Thompson
Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Director

Dr. Marie Thompson is a UK-trained, British Clinical Psychologist. Her experience spans the National Health Service in the UK, as well as private practice, corporate organizations and academia internationally. She is an accreted EMDR practitioner and an EMDR Consultant in training.
Dr. Walid Abdul-Hamid
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Walid Abdul-Hamid is a Consultant Psychiatrist with 35 years’ experience in psychiatry across the UK and UAE. Dr. Walid is a rare breed of psychiatrists who not only demonstrates decades of experience in psychiatry per se, but who also has extensive training and experience in psychological approaches, allowing him to deliver tailored and comprehensive treatments for his patients. He is an EMDR Consultant and EMDR Trainer in training.
Dr. Elizabeth Aizlewood
Clinical Psychologist
Dr Elizabeth Aizlewood is a UK trained, DHA licenced Clinical Psychologist with experience working in the UK and in the UAE. She enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health needs. She values working in a person-centred way, developing an individualised treatment plan for each client based on their individual presentation, needs and preferences. She provides assessments and therapy.
Nadia Brooker
Counselling Psychologist I DHA Counsellor
Nadia is a New Zealand trained and registered Counselling Psychologist, with both New Zealand and UAE experience. She has worked with individuals of all ages, cultures and backgrounds in various mental health practice settings, including specialist eating disorder services, and tertiary and private clinic settings. Nadia sees adolescents and adults with a range of challenges and specialises in eating disorders.
Dr. Mark Corcoran
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Mark is a Clinical Psychologist who has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ireland. He has worked in the national public health service in Ireland, practicing in hospital and community settings, in addition to working in private practice.
Dr. Rebecca Ferguson
Forensic Psychologist
Dr. Rebecca Ferguson is a licensed Psychologist trained in the UK. Dr. Rebecca works with adolescents and adults with a range of challenges and specialises in working with emerging or established personality disorders. She runs a very popular DBT Skills Group.
Dr. Miranda Gaylor
Psychologist
Dr. Miranda Gaylor is an experienced Consultant Psychologist with over 20 years experience in the UK and UAE. She sees adults and adolescents with a wide range of mental health problems, and specializes in Autism and ADHD assessments and coaching. She uses CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT and Cognitive hypnotherapy in her work.
Helena Gil Martin
Clinical Neuropsychologist
Helena Gil Martin is a dedicated clinical neuropsychologist with over seven years experience in Psychology and Neuropsychology. Helena has significant experience working with young people in clinical, school and special needs settings. She contributed to establishing the Neuropsychological Department in the Youth Wing of a clinic in Dubai. Helena is bilingual in Spanish and English.
Jackie Greenwood
DHA Counsellor
Jackie joins Vivamus with a wealth of experience in counselling, mental health and wellbeing, supporting adults, couples, children and families. She has worked in private practice since 2010, establishing a successful practice in Hong Kong, and in the Netherlands
Dr. James Hurley
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. James is a UK trained, Irish Clinial Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience of working with adults with a range of mental health challenges in Ireland, the UK and the UAE. An EMDR practitioner with particular expertise in working with adults with trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression.
Dr. Cara Outar
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Cara Outar is a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist who obtained her Doctoral degree from the University of Birmingham, UK. She has over 14 years of experience working with individuals from many backgrounds and cultures. Her experience spans working with people with a range of difficulties in NHS settings and private practice in the UK and the UAE.
Dr. Shane Mulligan
Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Shane Mulligan is a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children and adolescents. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Shane has gained extensive experience in a range of hospital and community services through the Irish national health service and Irish national child and family agency. Dr. Shane provides assessments and therapy and has a special interest in Sports Psychology.
Dr. Monica Thompson
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Monica Thompson is a licensed Consultant Clinical Psychologist trained in London, UK. Dr. Monica was the manager of the Traumatic Stress Clinic in central London which is a leading trauma clinic in the UK and she co-ordinated the treatment and recovery for all individuals affected by the London bombings in 2005.
Cheryl Warsama
Counselling Psychologist I DHA Counsellor
Cheryl qualified as a Counselling Psychologist in the UK in 2003. Cheryl worked as an NHS Consultant Psychologist in Psychological Medicine at the Homerton Hospital in East London and is a licensed DHA Counsellor. She brings a wealth of experience from her work with mental health services, private practice and employee wellbeing.
