How we work

A process built to help you

Our treatment model is based on UK best-practice, bringing together the best of clinical practice from across the government, private and corporate agencies.

=

Define your goals

You and your psychologist will decide some clear goals in the first couple of sessions. She will ask you about what you would like to be different and will ask you to think about how life would be different if the problem(s) no longer existed. You will work together to make sure the goals are realistic and healthy.

=

Develop the approach

Your psychologist will outline a plan as to how she expects the goals to be achieved. This is likely to involve weekly sessions and there may be some tasks for you to work on between sessions. She will give a sense of an estimated timeline.

;

Review progress

You and your psychologist will review progress every 6 sessions or so. This allows you to make sure you’re achieving the goals you set out to achieve and that the strategy is working.

R

Achieving goals

You and your psychologist will agree together a good time to stop sessions. This might be a matter of weeks or months, depending on what it is you’re hoping to achieve and the nature of the problem.

<

Wind down

When you feel you’ve made the progress you were hoping to, we tend to reduce the frequency of sessions to once a month. This means you can check in with us while ensuring that the gains you’ve achieved are maintained without more regular meetings.

<

Measure outcomes

We will measure progress by asking you to complete a few questionnaires pre and post treatment and every 6 sessions. This provides a measure of progress for you and your psychologist to use to guide treatment accordingly.

Our Commitment to Best Practice

We strive for best practice, and that means making commitments to excellence.
We deliver ours, by putting our clients’ needs at the heart of what we do.

Flexible

We will evaluate patient satisfaction and therapy outcomes. We will be flexible and open to respond to the results of such evaluation.

Qualified

We will employ only those people we consider to be sufficiently qualified, experienced and licensed to deliver the quality of treatment we pride ourselves on.

Diversity

We will employ psychologists who are trained in a number of therapeutic models. This means they are nimble enough to respond to your issue in the best way. This is a significant departure from a one method fits all approach.

Researched

We will offer psychological treatments that have been thoroughly researched and found to be effective.

Supervised

All our psychologists will receive regular clinical supervision of their work.

Honesty

We will do the right thing. This doesn’t always mean saying what people want to hear. Sometimes the right advice is hard to say and hard to hear. We will offer a truly non-judgmental ear and approach.
